RESUMEN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los elevados \u00edndices de fracaso escolar y de abandono temprano en Andaluc\u00eda constituyen una importante preocupaci\u00f3n para toda la comunidad educativa. Diversos han sido los recursos, medidas y programas puestos en marcha para disminuir su incidencia sobre todo en la educaci\u00f3n secundaria. Sin embargo, hay lugares donde todo ese esfuerzo es en vano lleg\u00e1ndose a institucionalizar el fracaso escolar como final de trayecto para la gran mayor\u00eda del alumnado. En este art\u00edculo, analizamos el caso paradigm\u00e1tico del barrio de Las Palmeras (C\u00f3rdoba) con el objetivo de extraer algunas conclusiones que arrojen luz sobre esta inquietante realidad.<\/p>\n

ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The high rates of school failure and early dropout in Andalusia are an important concern for the entire educational community. Diverse have been the resources, measures and programs put in place to reduce their incidence especially in secondary education. However, there are places where all that effort is in vain getting to institutionalize the school failure as the end of the journey for the vast majority of students. In this article, we analyze the paradigmatic case of the neighborhood of Las Palmeras (C\u00f3rdoba) in order to draw some conclusions that shed light on this disturbing reality.<\/p>\n
