Resumen<\/strong><\/h4>\n

El presente art\u00edculo es una aproximaci\u00f3n a la vida y obra de Qasm\u016bna bint Isma\u2018il, poetisa jud\u00eda que pudo haber nacido y vivido en el seno de una familia acomodada en la C\u00f3rdoba del siglo XII, la \u00fanica de la que se conserva parte de su obra en el contexto de la literatura hispano-hebrea. Aunque los testimonios acerca de su vida y obra son exiguos, se conservan tres poemas suyos compuestos en \u00e1rabe que denotan un profundo conocimiento de la lengua y la poes\u00eda cl\u00e1sica \u00e1rabe, as\u00ed como una gran pericia y sensibilidad para el arte po\u00e9tica que adquiri\u00f3 de la mano de su padre, el tambi\u00e9n poeta Isma\u2018il ibn Bagd\u0101la al-Yah\u016bdi.<\/p>\n

Abstract<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This article is a succinct study of the life and work of Qasm\u016bna bint Isma\u2018il, a Jewish poet who might have been born into a well-off family in twelfth-century C\u00f3rdoba. In the context of Jewish-Hispanic Literature, she is the only poetess whose works have been preserved at least partially. Though scanty details about her life and work are known, the three extant poems written in classic Arabic point to Qasm\u016bna\u2019s deep knowledge of the Arabic language and classic poetry, as well as to her talent and sensibility for poetic craftsmanship, an art she must have learnt from her own father, the Jewish poet Isma\u2018il ibn Bagd\u0101la al-Yah\u016bdi.<\/p>\n
