Profundiza en la definici\u00f3n, su presencia actual en el mundo contempor\u00e1neo afectando al alumnado independientemente de la edad, de la situaci\u00f3n socio-econ\u00f3mica o del pa\u00eds de procedencia del alumno o alumna, para centrar la reflexi\u00f3n de su presencia en la ESO con sus manifestaciones como\u00a0 el absentismo escolar, el abandono temprano de los estudios, la no titulaci\u00f3n y la precaria formaci\u00f3n.
