RESUMEN
Hay creaciones artísticas que pueden pasar casi desapercibidas por el lugar en el que se encuentran o porque el nombre del autor es poco conocido. La contemplación de las obras que nos han llegado, nos permiten analizar y valorar esas creaciones y nos ayudan a conocer y a comprender parte del patrimonio artístico de muchos de nuestros pueblos. Nuestro artículo busca analizar en su contexto histórico y teológico, más allá de la repercusión local que ya tiene, la iconografía de las pinturas murales del Camarín de la Virgen del Carmen, de la cúpula del Presbiterio y de la capilla de San José realizadas por el pintor cordobés Ángel Rodríguez Fernández en la Iglesia del convento de s. Diego de los Carmelitas de Hinojosa del Duque.
ABSTRACT
There are artistic creations that can go almost unnoticed because of their location or because the artist’s name is little known. Contemplating the works that have survived allows us to analyze and appreciate these creations and helps us to understand part of the artistic heritage of many of our towns. Our article seeks to analyze within its historical and theological context, beyond the local impact it already has, the iconography of the mural paintings of the Dressing Room of the Virgin of Carmen, the dome of the Presbytery, and the chapel of Saint Joseph, created by the Cordoban painter Ángel Rodríguez Fernández in the Church of the Carmelite Convent of San Diego in Hinojosa del Duque.
